3..2..1..and Christmas was gone, along with the ceremonial de-decorating of Christmas, we thought it would be nice to remind ourselves that it’s not just the home that needs a bit of a cleanse after the festivities.
If your beloved companion is anything like ours you may have invested in a slow feeder bowl, we knew it was time when the little ‘food hoover' was practically breathing up her food! Rather than change her name to Henry, we slowed her down, for her own health and safety, and to make her meal times enjoyable for longer!
I’m not saying for a second us humans should have a 3d shaped bowl to eat from, but slowing down is not be a bad thing…
With Christmas coming up for some the drive for perfection is is full swing. The need to make it the ‘best Christmas ever’ for family and friends, can mean your own holiday period is busy and often stressful. Read our #mindfulmonday exercise for a little pep talk which may help…
Our beloved companions are a constant source of love, fun, and teacher of life’s lessons. This weeks mindful exercise helps with letting go…
This weeks mindful practise is a simple one that can be done anywhere, it doesn’t take long and simply requires a little bit of privacy. It may be nice to do after a good walk with your beloved companion, once they’ve had a drink and a treat, and ready to also relax.
Most adults require on average 8 hours of sleep each night to recover fully and perform at their best, our beloved companions will sleep up to 6 hours more than this if you include their ‘dog’ naps during the day. As we often go through our days at 100mph, it’s easy to neglect sleep. This week, make bedtime your priority each evening.
You, your hound, and the great outdoors, is it any wonder walking with a sense of awareness helps eliminate stresses and anxiety? Read on and find out how #mindfulmonday exercise will benefit you and your hound…
Start your day on a positive with this #mindfulmonday exercise.
Smiles are contagious, and a warm smile is the universal sign for kindness. The wagging tail of your beloved companion is their way of smiling and expressing joy, and their tails never stop! Some dogs even try to mimic your smile, although with all their doggy teeth it can come across a little strange. Whether they understand it or not, the fact that they try to smile shows the power a smile holds.

An exercise to try on #mindfulmonday. Take the time to connect with yourself so yo can feel a stronger connection with those around you, nature, and of course your beloved companion.
Hygge is warmth, happiness, and contentedness (and other comforting words that fill you with joy). It will mean something different to each of us as we are all individual. There may not be a candle in sight for our next story, but there’s no doubting that being in the ‘now’ how ever, or where ever is what makes it hygge. Read on for hygge, hounds, and lots of happiness.
